"She said I think I'll go to Boston..."
I woke up at 6:44AM, took the meds that don't let me eat for an hour, went to the bathroom, and went back to sleep.
I woke again at 10:21AM, went downstairs to make blueberry pancakes, anticipating a rainy day of waiting by the phone and reading "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with "Keeping up with the Kardashians" or "The Millionaire Matchmaker" as background noise.
Gulped down a mango smoothie and some OJ and inhaled half of the pancakes I made. I cleaned up the cooking area by about 11:00AM and headed back into my bed to read, expecting to let the warmth of food in my stomach lull me back to sleep for another few hours.
At 11:24AM, I get a phone call with a 617 area code, "Cambridge, MA" beneath it. Having expected to receive either an email or some letdown of a phone call at 4:30PM or some late hour at the end of the business day, I was already surprised. The next surprise was whether it would be good news on the other end of the line.
It was. Good heavens, it was. And this time next week, I will officially be a Research Associate to William C. Kirby at Harvard Business School. I have been pursuing an RA opportunity for over 7 months and finally got one.
I've been riding the high without eating or drinking anything for the past 6 hours, so I'm going to pass out and then update this.
